Pontiaction History III

This decal was found up under the dash of the RAIV firebird in about 1994!I was on the phone with Tom demauro from HPP magazine at the time.
it was lost at the SS nationals when Bill did a dry hop in the pits, it slid back and under the dash. I still have them in my scrap book.

Its hard to see but in this article by Ro mcgonegal the RAIV firebird sits on the starting line in front of these cars about to race a nova. Its from a superstock and drag illustrated article in the 90’s.  Oddly the article text reads: “the west coast influence” but the pictures are all of east coast cars including the whitney and kutsavage dog catcher car also from connecticut.

Pretty sure this was from an E town HPP event where I runner-upped with the car in the 90’s it made the magazine. NO one knew it was a REAL RAIV car. the HPP stickers are still on the windows!
